The Joy of Winning...

After few weeks of practicing and memorizing the lyrics, few days of rushing to the malls to look for a cat costume, few costume rehearsals (recycling her dance costume-thights and leotard, incorporating some ear-shaped wire to her old hairband and stitching a headband to become a cat tail, o diba!) and few hours of praying that Angel, my four-year old daughter could go up and perform in the stage... whew! the long wait is over! The DOST Day Care Center family day came last Saturday, February 23...

Her 1st time to make a solo performance, aiming to get a medal after delivering the "Three Little Kittens" in an Oral Interpretation Contest, I wish I was more relaxed...but hey, I was more tensed than the contestant herself, hahaha! Perhaps, Mama felt the same when I was still the one joining contests...

Angel made her way to the stage, asking if I could join her there... :) I reasoned out I will be taking a video of her...So she stood there, bowed and immediately began reciting..after a few mistakes and some forgotten lines, she still managed to finish the presentation with some unforgotten gestures and voice projection... and whew! it's officially finished...i made my sigh of relief!

After the Quiz Bee contest for the kinder students, the announcing and awarding of winners came next...Excited and again tensed, we listened to the judge as she called on the winners. The 3rd place was announced, he was the only contestant who was able to deliver his piece with no single word mistaken/omitted, he was so impressive... 2nd place is Hero, who, accdg to the judges, made the best pronounciation and diction of the poem...OMG...i was then super nervous, I lost hope...but when the 1st place was announced, I almost jumped with joy...It's her! Angel won! She was so happy, she still didn't know she made it on top, all she knew is, she got her wish of getting a medal... :)

Blogging...

I was once told that I can make money out of blogging...i still could not understand; yet I found myself tapping my computer keyboard as if I could compose some blogs worth reading, perhaps I was just so desperately looking for something to make money at...aha!!!
I wasn't born a writer, neither as storyteller...so bear with what I could post in here since I am just trying to be productive...even not financially but sharing my thoughts as well...
